Prof. Sladjana Sobajic graduated, and finished masters and doctorate degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. Her areas of research interest are medical and physiological effects of biologically active ingredients. the potential of dietary products and supplements in health protection and assessment of the intake of nutrients and biologically active ingredients.
Since 2007she has been intensively working on the development of a national scheme for interlaboratorycomparisons in sanitary chemistry laboratories. Within the working groups of the Ministry of Health,she is working on the development of legislation in the field of dietary products and supplements. She was the head of the Department of Bromatology at the Faculty of Pharmacy-University of Belgrade, the president of the Faculty Council, and since 2018 she was the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy until retirement in 2024. She is the co-author of 132 scientific and professional papers, of which 60papers in journals from the SCI list with an impact factor and 35 papers in national journals. She is the co-author of two university textbooks and 3 chapters in scientific monographs. She was a member, a president of the organizational or scientific committee in more than 20 national and 3 European congresses. From 2022 she is a member of Advisory Board of the Faculty of Health, Aarhus University, Denmark. From 2008-2016. she was the president of the Serbian Nutrition Society, At the moment she is the vice president of this society. Since 2015, she was the member of the Board, and since 2023, President of the Federation of European Nutrition Societies. She is the recipient of the "Congress Ambassador of Serbia"; award.
