Created in 1996, Universidade Lusófona (ULus) offers degrees in Health Products and Food Supplements, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry of Natural Bioactives, Nutrition, Sports, Psychology. The research center CBIOS fosters the development of integrated health strategies through its expertise in Natural Bioactives and Circular Economy, Nutrition and Wellbeing, Formulation Strategies and Nanosolutions, and Models, Molecular Mechanisms. ULus has an established track record in the development of EU-financed projects and European Partnerships for Excellence.
Created in 1985, The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) ranks among the top five Spanish universities for innovation, technological development, and research quality. Nutrition, Lifestyle and Exercise are key areas for the teaching activities of UIB, and its research groups denote the expertise of this institution in Community Nutrition and Evidence, Lifestyles and Health. The UIB is currently participating in multiple research projects funded by the European Union through the Seventh Framework Program, Horizon 2020 program or others.
The University of Belgrade (UoB) is a state university with extensive experience in international collaborations. The Faculty of Pharmacy (FoPh) is a part of UoB’s medical group of Faculties, educating leading pharmacists and medical biochemists in the country. UoB FoPh has a Center for Dermalpharmacy and Cosmetology dedicated to the continual education of all professionals employed in cosmetic business, as well as renowned know-how in the food supplements area. Despite being a non-EU Programme Country, participates in several EU projects (Erasmus+, Jean Monnet, H2020, CEEPUS,HERD, CIP, Erasmus Mundus, Lifelong Learning Programme, Interreg, bilateral and multilateral projects).
